Fictitious Miami Paranormal Facebook page created

Dear friends, Miami Paranormal was made aware that there is a fictitious facebook page that was created here:

We want all of our readers and paranormal enthusiasts to know that this is not us and the person who created this page did not have authorization to do so.

They claim to be a non-profit but in truth they are not even registered with the department of state. This page is in the name of Miami Paranormal which operates in Miami and have been around for many years. We are a division of Love and Light Ministries.

This facebook page was created on October 24th 2011, the day after this user joined the real Miami Paranormal's old website (at webs.com) using the email address saydaarauz@gmail.com which is the same one she lists as a contact for this page.

We have a screenshot of our members list as evidence to verify that we are being truthful about this same person joining our website. They do not have any affiliation to us and she-and this is a female- is not a member of our research team nor a member of our ministry.


All of the text on this page which supposedly explains this "groups" philosophy and beliefs are plagiarized verbatim from the Wikipedia! This shows you right there that this is not someone who knows about spiritual matters, but rather somebody out to scam donations in our good name.

We are highly offended by the use of the "Haunted" graphics which are very Halloweenish and paint us in a very bad light. The logo is also stolen

The Haunted is a reality documentary television series produced by Animal Planet that premiered in November of 2009.

We had a very similar incident occur involving a student from the University of Miami. Her name is Ellie Rivard. We contacted the Dean who reprimanded her for collecting donations in our name and we had her fictitious website shut down. We suspect this is the same person. Again, it was a girl who created a fake website and was accepting public donations.

We aren't sure just what the motivation with the Facebook page is but she is seeking those who "need help with Paranormal Research " and members "The person that get accepted in team has to be a gifted person, able to feel energies, been a medium etc"

Miami Paranormal is asking Facebook to take immediate action and shut down this account. We have archived it for possible legal action.

Paranormal Activity 3 Screening Miami

The Miami Paranormal Research Society has known for a few weeks now about the advanced screening of Paramount picture's Paranormal Activity 3. We were contacted about working with them to create some promotional flyers that will include our recommendations on what you should do if you think that you may be experiencing real life paranormal activity.

The big event was top secret but in case javascript:void(0)you're wondering, it's happening tonight at 9PM at AMC Sunset. The representative from Paramount tells me that it's going to be a huge crowd.

If you didn't score any passes, the movie officially opens on October 21, 2011.

Meanwhile, I am on my way to Paramount's office to pick up the promotional items they are giving to the Miami Paranormal Research Society.
